Samantha Rodes is a different class of creature.
A SAG actor and shape-shifter by design, specializing in creature performance, contortion, motion capture, and character transformation—melding physical endurance with emotional depth to bring the inhuman to life. Whether navigating a crawlspace in full FX makeup or haunting a soundstage in mocap, she thrives in being anything but normal.
Her credits include work with Guillermo del Toro (Nightmare Alley) and Zack Snyder (Rebel Moon), where she performed under prosthetics, stunts, and silence—becoming unrecognizable by design.
Rodes is also a trained contortionist, swimmer, stunt double, and former ghost writer—familiar with shedding skins in body and the written word. From shaving her head to stepping into creature suits, she commits with precision and passionate reverence in the craft of physical storytelling.
Inspired by classic monster performers like Lon Chaney and informed by animal study (both real and imagined), she doesn't just play creatures—she becomes them.
For her, this line of work is more than a career- it’s a vocation.
Rodes is repped by Diana Keeler, Pandium Fusion.
